My Approach
I approach my work with clients through a highly relational, humanistic, and trauma-informed lens. I'm influenced by psychodynamic, Jungian, somatic, and transpersonal approaches to psychology. I believe that mental health is intimately connected to relationships... those from our early life, those in the present moment, and that which we have with ourselves. The unique relationship that develops in therapy can be a safe and nurturing microcosm to explore and shift beliefs, narratives, and emotional patterns that are no longer working for you. We begin by slowing down and paying close attention to what comes up. Together we practice curiosity and compassion toward your emotions and your story, at a pace that feels comfortable yet engaging. There are many tools that can help throughout this process, but ones I most employ in session are art-making, verbal inquiry, and mindfulness practices. These processes bring us into the present moment and help strengthen your inner compass so flow and integration can begin to occur in your life.

I see therapy as a very personal and, at times, even spiritual process of connecting more deeply with your self...
connecting with your innate wisdom, grace and love can enhance your daily experience of life. I believe that seeing a therapist is a move toward a more intentional life, and I would love to assist you on this journey.

Personal Note: As a white, cis gender female, I recognize my position of power and privilege. I acknowledge the ways that social constructs can negatively effect our bodies and communities. I continually strive to better understand the perspectives of people that are different from myself while working to empower all my clients to better understand their own familial and cultural narratives. I believe that social justice benefits everyone and positive change starts within each of us.
